Lesson Recap — 4 Comments

  1. I do my best to only focus on one thing a lot to fix, because you can’t fix everything at once. So usually I try to focus on my base since the rest is built from there. It sounds like you had a great lesson 🙂

  2. Eh, I’ve been known to leave gaps in recaps, and take forever to update, so it’s no worries, really. It sounds like you had a very good lesson though. I’m hoping that sometime in the future, when I can finally get all my ducks in a row, I can take some lessons with Mitch to work on some of the gaps we have.

  3. Sounds like a great lesson. You could try videoing your lesson. I do that sometimes, though I inevitably never go back to that video. I like to try to do a lesson recap right away after the lesson so I type down as much as possible and then remember the most.

  4. awesome lesson! i love shaking things up by trying a new trainer and new horse and seeing what comes out in the wash. seems like you got a lot of fantastic and easily applicable takeaways too! taking notes right after always seems to help, as does procuring video of the ride when possible (i have been known to leave a camera rolling on the rail to capture all the salient details). (also Kate is basically wonderful!)
